MATCH REPORTS

This season has seen us enter a national competition for the first time.  To lose to the current Champions in the 2nd round by the odd goal was a tremendous result.  I firmly believe we could have progressed to the final if we had not drawn East Grinstead (who have won this competition 3 times in the last 5 years).  Therefore I look forward to next years competition with relish.

I enclose a list of result for the 1st half of the season.  As you can see we only lost 2 games, the other one was away to Devon U17, again by the odd goal.  They went on to win the West U17 Championship.  So, you can see that we have played really well and against quality opposition.

I would also like to thank the teams we have played against and the umpires who have turned up to help us enjoy ourselves.  Also to The Stopford Arms, our home from home.

Paddy
