For all the clubs latest news

EGM – Membership say Yes

The membership agreed for the club to enter the national league after securing promotion. Thank you to Nick Clooke and Clive O’Sullivan for their presentation to the EGM which was well attended by members across the whole club.

What next – well a group from the committee and interested members have been working hard behind the scenes to develop a clear business plan to develop the club to ensure it can sustain playing in the national league next season and further season ahead.

What’s needed – the club believes entering the national league is a whole club adventure which needs the support of everyone both on and of the pitch. The club is adamant that such an adventure should not create a two tier club where the 1st XI become the takers and the rest of the club are the financial givers.

Belief in Youth Development – the club believes it can develop a fine youth section to ensure young players have the opportunity to develop their skills and progress to the highest level. The club aim to develop strong links with schools and supporting the fine work of the Plymouth Hockey Development Group

Sponsorship Partnerships

To develop a 1st XI and whole club development programme to sustain the clubs position in the national league the cost will be in the region of £15,000. Do you know of any businesses or ways to raise money.

If you have some contacts within business or would be willing to help the club raise some money then please let either Jamie Oxley (Secretary) or Tony Falconer(Chairman) know.

Fundraising – the club will be developing a programme to raise money through out the season. Colin Wood has agreed to assist the club undertake this major development area. If you are willing to help or have some bright ideas then contact Colin. CWood100@aol.com or call 07813160976
